12th MCL RPDAC Meeting held at Angul

ANGUL(Fast Mail News):-The Rehabilitation and Peripheral Development Advisory Committee (RPDAC) of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL)  was held here today under the chairmanship of RDC of Northern Division Anil Kumar Samal. Angul collector Siddhartha Shankar Swain,SP Jagmohan Meena, Local MP Mahesh Sahoo and MLAs among others attended the meeting.

The last RPDAC meeting of MCL was held in 2020.According to the RDC Anil Kumar Samal there were discussions on more than 10 issues relating to rehabilitation and resettlement of land oustees in Talcher coalfield. Among major decisions, the MCL was asked to develop various resettlement colonies and to facilitate shifting of the displaced persons in Talcher. It also advised MCL to take the displaced people of Hensmul to their new rehabilitation site at Balanda. 



 Another major decision was taken regarding the payment of cash incentives to those who vacate the house holds after the land acquisition. 

According to Samal,it was decided that the families who want to leave the house will get rupees five lakhs in advance and will get another rupees five lakhs after the demolition of the house. 

The meeting also advised MCL to expedite the settlement of the job demands of the land oustees. The meeting also took up many individual cases for appointment in the coalfield. The MCL CMD PK Sinha along with Directors OP Singh,Keshav Rao and Baban Singh also attended the meeting.
