16 killed, many injured as explosion rocked Afghanistan
A doctor of the local hospital informed,” "These are all children and ordinary people," a doctor at a hospital in the provincial capital Samangan told on condition of anonymity.
According to the report, the blast took place during the afternoon prayer at the Jahadiya Madrassa in Aybak city of Samangan. At least 10 students were killed in a bomb blast at a religious school in northern Afghanistan, a Taliban official said.
However, there is no confirmation of the pictures and videos going viral on social media in which broken glass and debris are lying. Meanwhile, Taliban fighters are seen walking past bodies lying on the floor of a building.
Earlier on November 21, a car exploded in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, in which two people were killed. Kabul police spokesman Khalid Zadran said two people were killed in the explosion in the car. In September there was a suicide attack in Kabul. At least 54 people were killed, including 51 young women. Since the Taliban returned to power in August last year, there have been several explosions targeting civilians.
