Akshay Kumar reacts on the trend of #BoycottRakshaBandhanMovie

Mumbai, Aug 9, (Fast Mail News):-- Akshay Kumar is once again set to enthral his fans and movie lovers with an emotional project, Raksha Bandhan, scheduled to release on August 11. While Raksha Bandhan will witness a clash with Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer, Laal Singh Chaddha, '#BoycottRakshaBandhanMovie' trend on social media must have escalated the worries of the makers.

Leaving no stone unturned, the entire team of 'Raksha Bandhan' is busy with promotions. Meanwhile, Akki has reacted to the boycott calls by social media users during a promotional event.

"The movie is there. There are few people who do all these things, they are doing mischief and that's Ok, that's fine. They can do whatever they want to. Anybody can do whatever they want," said Akki.

"This is a free country, everybody is allowed to do whatever they want. But, my thing is to everyone this industry or any industry; whether it is a builder's industry or film industry, these all help the economy of India," he said.

Further, the 'Samrat Prithviraj' actor said, "By doing all these things, by doing things like this, it's not going to make any sense. We all are on the verge of making our country the biggest and greatest. So, I would just request them, don't get into it and I will also request you (media), don't get into all these. It will be better for our country."

With Raksha Bandhan, the 'Rustom' actor has returned to his favourite Independence day spot for the 9th time. Helmed by Aanand L Rai, the flick also features Bhumi Pednekar in the lead. With a runtime of 110 minutes, the movie has got 'U' certification from the Central Board of Film Certification.

This family drama will release across India on over 2500 screens. The advance booking for Raksha Bandhan started on Friday.

Considering the advance ticket booking, the bookings as of now are better than Samrat Prithviraj and Shamshera. However, the figures are lower than Jug Jugg Jeeyo, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and 83. As of now, the advance bookings suggest an opening collection of Rs 8 crore to 9.50 crore.

The story revolves around a man (Lala Kedarnath) and his four sisters. Lala runs a chaat shop inherited from his father. He promises his mother on her deathbed that he will get married only after fulfilling the responsibilities of marrying off his sisters in suitable places. Lala comes across different challenges while trying to get his sisters married. At the same time, he is facing hurdles while handling his personal and romantic life.

So, if you are a diehard fan of Bollywood's Khiladi, then book your ticket in advance to explore the story of the comedy-drama film, Raksha Bandhan.

It is pertinent to mention here that social media users also called to boycott Aamir's upcoming Laal Singh Chaddha.
