Angul: 5-year-old female elephant died in Satkosia

 ANGUL(Fast Mail News) - A 5-year-old female elephant died at Kushakhali forest under Tikarpara forest range of Satkosia wildlife division.

 Her body was found on Tuesday morning from that forest. Forest officials said the elephant was being treated after falling ill from Sunday.How ever,she died later due to ailments.



 Satkosia DFO Saroj Panda said,"An ailing elephant of 5-year-old was spotted in Kushakhali forest area on Saturday by forest department officials. It was in frailing health conditions and was very weak. She was very weak".

 However, he said the elephant was administered saline and other medicines on Sunday. She was wandering in that part of the forest.Panda said her body was spotted today morning. The body was sent for post mortem by the doctors and her blood samples have been sent to OUAT for investigations, panda added.
