Angul police nabbed Inter-State cyber fraudster from Jharkhand

 ANGUL(Odisha) - Angul police have arrested an inter-state cyber fraudster Tulasi Das,20 from Deoghar in Jharkhand for duping rupees 29,900 through bank transactions from one man.Police also seized several phones,mobile phones,credit and debit cards,bank pass books and various sim cards from him.The 20-year-old fraudster has, in the meanwhile, in two months have transacted money to the tune of rupees 8 lakhs from various people in Jharkhand and other states.

 According to SP Jagmohan Meena  there was a complaint in Banarpal police station by Suresh Prasad Singh that he had been duped by a fraudster of rupees 29,900.

 In his complaint Singh said that  there was some problem in his phonepe transactions and he was inquiring to the phonepe customer care  to solve the problem.After some days there was a call from an unknown number stating that he would rectify the problem in phonepe.



 And it was an unknown number Singh was suspicious of. But the complainant was suspicious as it was an unknown number.

 But the fraudster had instilled confidence by providing details of his whatsapp number and other personal documents. He inquired many things from him about bank transactions which Singh conceded. Later Singh found from his account that it had been debited with rupees 29,900 by the fraudster and he rushed to the police station with a complaint.

 SP said after getting a complaint police made a location trail of his phone number and found that it was in Deoghar in  Jharkhand. A money trail was done by which the account number and  passbooks were known and the name of the fraudster Tulasi Das.

 ”After knowing  the name and address of Tulasi Das through bank accounts, a police team was sent to Deoghar to nab the culprit. After a great toil the team could nab Tulasi Das and seized various bank pass books,SIM cards,phones and other incriminating documents used in duping people for cyber way”.

 He said on investigation it has found that during the last two months he had fraudulent transactions of rupees 7 to 8 lakhs among various people. After being arrested he was brought to Angul and was produced to court today.
