Assam reports 1,862 fresh Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours

 Guwahati, August 1:As many as 1,862 fresh Covid-19 cases were recorded in the last 24 hours. Maximum cases were reported from Kamrup (M) (6,647) followed by Kamrup (911), Jorhat (814) and Dibrugarh (709). In the last 24 hours 1,277 patients were discharged from hospital. The recovery rate in the state is 75.4%.

 

 

 Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, "Alert ~ 1862 #Covid cases detected out of 38324 tests in 24 hours. Positivity rate - 4.85%. Kamrup (M) : 281, Kamrup (R) : 202, Cachar: 140, Sonitpur: 129, Dibugarh: 117, Nagaon: 114, Jorhat: 105. 1277 patients have being discharged on Friday. So gratifying to see so many patients recovering & returning to their families!. Wonderful work by doctors indeed."

 

Total cases in the state stands at 40,270. Of these 9811 cases are active, 98 deaths and 30,358 recovered. At least 917,395 samples have been tested so far.
