Badminton: Chirag Shetty, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy storm into semifinals of Malaysia Open Men's doubles

 In Badminton, Men's doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty entered the semifinals of the Malaysia Open. The pair beat China’s Liu Yu Chen and Ou Xuan Yi 2-1 in the quarterfinals. Earlier, Satwiksairaj and Chirag lost the opening game, they made a comeback, and won the next two games 22-20 and 21-9, respectively.

 

 The duo will now face another Chinese pair of LIANG Wei Keng and Wang Chang  in the semifinals today. Indian ace shuttler H.S Prannoy bowed out of the men’s singles after losing 16-21, 21-19, 10-21 to Japan’s Kodai Naraoka in the quarterfinal . In the women’s singles,  PV Sindhu and Saina Nehwal crashed out of the Malaysia Open in the first round.
