Bengal: Secondary board examination results declared, 86.60% passed

 Kolkata, June 03 (FMNews) - The results of West Bengal Secondary Board Examination have been declared on Friday morning. This time 86.60 percent students have been declared passed. 114 students are included in the top ten,according to authorities.

Arnav Ghorai, a student from Bankura and Raunak Mandal of Burdwan East, secured the joint top position with 693 marks. Arnav is a student of Ram Haripur Ramakrishna Mission High School in Bankura while Raunak Mandal is a student of CMS School, Burdwan.

On the other hand, Raunak Mandal of Paschim Medinipur and Kaushiki Sarkar of Malda are at number two. They have got 692 numbers. On the other hand, Ananya Dasgupta of West Burdwan and Devshikha Pradhan of Purva Medinipur are at number three with 691 marks.

 

 

 Announcing the result, the President of the Board of Secondary Education, Kalyanmoy Ganguly said that East Medinipur district is at the forefront in terms of pass rate. Here 97.63 percent students have passed the exam.

The second place is Kalingpong where 94.77 percent students have achieved success while Paschim Medinipur is at number three. Here 94.62% students have achieved success. Kolkata is at number four where 94.36 percent students have passed. In Jhargram 92.07 percent, in North 24 Parganas 91.98 and in South 24 Parganas 89.61 percent students have got success. The pass percentage in Malda is 8.7.11%.

Kalyanmoy Ganguly has told that due to Corona pandemic, the secondary examination was not conducted for two years. This year the secondary examination began on March 7 and ended on March 16.

A total of 11 lakh 26, 863 students had given the exam. Out of these, the number of male students were five lakh 59 thousand and the number of girl students were six lakh 26 thousand 804. After 79 days the result of secondary examination has been declared. This time a total of 86.06 percent students have passed the exam, a total of 10.98 lakh students appeared in the exam.
