In the year 2004, Kajal made her Bollywood debut with a small role in Aishwarya Rai, Dia Mirza, Vivek Oberoi and Amitabh Bachchan starrer 'Kyun Ho Gaya Na'.

Even after almost three years after the release of the film 'Kyun Ho Gaya Na', when Kajal did not get a film in Bollywood, she turned to South films. She appeared in the 2007 Telugu film 'Lakshmi Kalyanam' in the lead role. After this Kajal appeared in many films one after the other. Kajal's performance in the film Magadheera, directed by SS Rajamouli, released in the year 2009, was well received. In this film, her pair was seen with the superstar of South films Ramcharan Teja. The film broke many records at the box office. Also, this film proved to be the biggest hit of Kajal's career. After this film, Kajal started being counted among the top actresses of South films. Not only this, she also became the first choice of the audience.

In the year 2010, Kajal once again got a chance to act in Bollywood. Kajal appeared in the lead role opposite Ajay Devgan in Rohit Shetty directorial 'Singham' which released in the same year and the film was also a super hit at the box office. After this, Kajal appeared in the multistarrer film 'Special 26' starring Akshay Kumar in the year 2013. However, Kajal got a chance to work in very few films in Bollywood.

She could not get the place in Bollywood which he got in the South Film Industry. Despite this, Kajal made her mark at the international level. She is the first South Indian actress whose effigy has been installed at Madame Tussauds Museum in Singapore and she also unveiled it with her own hands.

Kajal's major films include Chandamama, Arya 2, Mr Perfect, Businessman, Nayak, Payum Pooli, Sardar Gabbar Singh, Do Lafjo Ki Kahani etc. Talking about Kajal Aggarwal's personal life, she has married businessman Gautam Kitchlu on October 30, 2020 and on April 9 this year, Kajal and Gautam became parents to a son Neil as their first child.
