BJP registered record victory in Gujarat, hoisted saffron for the 7th consecutive time

 AHMEDABAD: The Bharatiya Janata Party has won the Gujarat Assembly elections for the seventh time in a row. The BJP has so far won 152 out of 182 seats in the state and is leading in four. The BJP has also made a record of winning the maximum number of seats in the state assembly elections so far. For the first time in the state, the Aam Aadmi Party has also registered its presence in this election whereas Congress has suffered the most. In this election, Congress has won 16 seats and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has won five seats. Apart from this, three other people have won. Samajwadi Party candidate has also won one seat.

This time the BJP has won a landslide victory in the Gujarat assembly elections. The BJP has won more than two-thirds majority of the seats. Reports said,19 out of 20 ministers of the Bhupendra Patel cabinet have been successful in winning the elections. Till the time of writing the news, BJP has won 152 seats and is leading in 4. Congress has won 16 and is ahead in 1. Aam Aadmi Party has won 5 seats. Samajwadi Party has won 1 seat. Independents have won the other 3 seats.

Samajwadi Party's Kandhal Jadeja has won from Kutiyana seat in Porbandar district. He was in the fray on the symbol of the Samajwadi Party after not getting a ticket from the Nationalist Congress Party. Apart from this, AIMI M chief Asaduddin Owaisi had fielded candidates on 13 seats, but could not win a single one of them.



 Hardik Patel, the face of the Patidar reservation movement, and Alpesh Thakor, the leader of the OBC movement, were also successful in winning the election on a BJP ticket. BJP's Kanti Amritiya has been successful in winning the election from here even after the Morbi suspension bridge incident. Bahubali candidate Madhu Srivastava has lost the election on Waghodia seat of Vadodara.
This time BJP also got good success in tribal dominated areas and was successful in hoisting the victory flag on the six seats which it could not win till date. After this massive victory of BJP, celebrations started at BJP offices across the state. The workers celebrated on drum beats with fireworks. After the victory, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel reached the state office in Gandhinagar, where he sweetened the mouth of state president CR Patil by feeding him sweets.
Speaker Patil and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel told the reporters that the swearing-in ceremony would be held in Gujarat on December 12 and Bhupendrabhai Patel would become the Chief Minister. He said that the Chief Minister of Gujarat will take oath on December 12 at 2 pm and the swearing-in ceremony will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. Patil said that we consider Congress only as the opposition. Congress should think that it was a national party, it is ending. The Aam Aadmi Party had nothing here. Such promises were made from his side, which cannot land on the ground.
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said that the mandate for the Gujarat Assembly elections is now clear, the people here have made up their mind to continue this two-decade-long development journey of Gujarat. He said that the Prime Minister has given the mantra of development for all.
