Chhattisgarh Naxalites kill Sarpanch

Raipur/Bijapur, June 29 (FMNews) –In a ghastly incident,nNaxalites killed Patiram Kudiyam, Mormed Sarpanch of Toyanar police station area of ??Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh,said SP Pankaj Shukla,adding that investigation is going on.

He said the Maoists kidnapped the Sarpanch Patiram Kudiyam around 7 pm on Tuesday night and the sarpanch was later hacked to death with a sharp weapon. The incident took place in Toyanar police station area, about 20 km from Bijapur.

The Maoists suspected that the sarpanch was a police informer. Toyanar's TI Manish Pandey told that more information will be available after the sarpanch's family files the report.
