COVID-19 cases in Africa surpass 371,000

 (Fast Mail) -The number of coronavirus cases in Africa reached 371,548 while 9,484 people have died across the continent.The continent has 54 countries.

 

At least 178,407 patients have also recovered.

 

Southern Africa, one of the five geographical regions in the continent, stands as the most affected with 137,000 cases.

 

North Africa recorded 94,400 cases, West 72,000, East 35,200 and Central Africa 32,900.

 

Nigeria in West Africa recorded 24,100 infections, Cameroon in Central Africa 12,600 and Sudan in East Africa 9,300.
