Deafening sound heard in 3 Odisha districts

Residents from many areas of three districts Bhadrk,jajpur and keonjharin odisha panicked on hearing a deafening sound at about 10,55am to 11 am today.

According to residents of these districts, the sound was like an explosion and similar to tremor heard though the intensity of today’s sound was more. Many residents said that their window panes were rattled due to deafening sound and they rushed out of their homes.

The villagers were narrating different theories about the loud sound. The panicked villagers said that the government authorities and police should give  information to the people as soon as possible.

Reports said that loud sounds were heard at same time in Jajpur, Bhadrak and Anandapur in Keonjhar districts. People were seen rushing out of their houses after hearing loud noise like bomb explosion.

 

After the sounds heard people in a panic came out of their houses.The intensity of the sound was such that the house shook for a moment.

Eyewitness reported that two loud detonation sounds were experienced at intervals of a few seconds. The intensity of this sound was so much that it spread to many areas of Keonjhar, Jajpur and Bhadrak districts. People were scared after hearing the sound.

Although this incident took about 1 hour, no concrete information could be found regarding its source. The loud sound is also heard in some areas of Keonjhar district, especially in the border of Najpur district.

 

According to the preliminary information, there is a possibility of dynamite explosion due to some construction work. The  policehave been investigating into the incident.
