Delhi: Massive fire in the shoe market in Ghaffar Market
New Delhi, June 12(FMNews) -A massive fire broke out in the shoe market of Ghaffar Market in Karol Bagh of Central district in the early hours of Sunday. 39 vehicles of fire brigade are on the spot. The members of rescue team are trying hard to put out the fire. The fire has not been completely extinguished till the filing of this report. Police is probing the cause of the fire.
Fire Department Director Atul Garg said that at 4:16 am today, a fire was reported at Gaffar Market in Karol Bagh. Till now 39 vehicles are on the spot. At present, firefighters are busy extinguishing the fire. There is no report of any casualties so far. According to locals, many shops have come under fire.
According to the data, in 2021-22, the control room of the fire department received a total of 27,343 calls (from April 1 to March 31). This figure was of 25709 in 2020-2021.
