Dhenkanal administration alerts officials to meet COVID-19 Omicron threat

 Angul,FASTMAIL -Dhenkanal collector has asked officials to  draw up plans to meet the upcoming Omicron threat which is looming large in the state as well as the country.

The collector Saroj Kumar Sethy in an emergency meeting of district officials asked block development officers to keep a watch on the people coming from the foreign countries. He advised officials to conduct RTPCR test of those people and put them in home quarantine besides monitoring their health conditions.

Stressing on the creation of massive awareness he asked officials to make the people aware by public address system and other means.He led emphasis on wearing masks .maintaining social distance and going for full vaccination.



 Identifying some villages in the district as remote area he called upon officials to go to those villages and conduct testing and make vaccinations to those people. So far the district now a days is reporting covid cases to the tune of 0 to 3 per day but the threat of Omicron virus is roaming raj to enhance the magnitude of the cases in the district.

Reviewing other developmental activities, he directed district welfare officers to ensue drinking water supply toilet, and on uninterrupted power supply to the anganwadi centre and primary schook.He asked  officials to visit around 48 remote villages in the district to see for themselves their problems and the implementation of various welfare programmes in those areas.

He asked officials  to see the ongoing developmental projects in the district completed on time. Besides,the CDMO Sujatarani Mishra,ADMO sanka Sekhar dash,PD,DRDA Safalya Mandita Pradhan,Sadar collector Snigdharani Dhala among other district officials attended the meeting.
