Dhenkanal: Pradhan led Tiranga Yatra at Bhuban
On the occasion, Pradhan offered puja at Hanuman mandir near pala mandap at Bhuban and marched to village Nilakanthapur,the birth place of Saheed Baji Rout.He attended in a big rally which covered around 4kms journey from pala mandap to the birth place of baji Rout.
He laid wreath at the statue of Saheed Baji Rout in the premises of 'Shaheed Baji Rout Memorial'. On the occasion, the Union Minister said that Martyr Baji Rout sacrificed his life for the country without bowing before the British rule.
He said that democracy has been established in the country today due to the sacrifices of many fighters like him. We are celebrating 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to remember such leaders,Pradhan said.
He said the nation is celebrating har ghar tiranga campaign from August 13 to August 15 next to mark the 75 year of Indian independence.
He called upon people to make India a great country under the leadership prime minister Modi.He lauded the man ki bat programme of prime minister Modi.
He said the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, irrespective of caste, religion and party , has called upon the people to participate in the 'Har Ghar Triranga' campaign from August 13th to 15th.
Later,the union minister went to Dhenkanal where he attended man ki bat programme of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at old Zilla Parisad hall. Several BJP leaders attended the manki bat programme there.
Responding to the media, he said that in today's programme, the Prime Minister discussed various issues related to the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign, visiting 75 historical railway stations related to the freedom struggle and talking about the minds of the common people.
The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of folk festivals, public participation, successful bee traders, innovative ways of making money and especially the growing commercial demand for Indian toys. PM Man Ki Baat is a great medium in taking India's folk traditions to the world stage. PM Mann Ki Baat has always inspired the countrymen. He said that today at the Prime Minister's call in Man Ki Baat program was we all should proceed to build new India.
Union Minister Pradhan visited 'District Education and Training Institute' (DIET) of Dhenkanal district during his visit.
He discussed with the teachers about the new national education policy. He discussed various aspects of the National Curriculum Framework, particularly teaching the students in their mother tongue.
He suggested that the story of the heroism of fighters, the Iram shooting in Bhadrak, the Labana Satyagraha at Inchudi in Balasore and the beauty and cultural heritage of Odisha's hilly forests should be included in the history pages of the school curriculum.
