Everyone including Bumrah is fit: Suryakumar Yadav

New Delhi, Sep 23, (Fast Mail News):-- India will take on Australia today in the second T20I at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur. Australia leads the three-match series 1-0.

In the first T20I, all-rounder Hardik Pandya’s scintillating 30-ball 71* and Axar Patel’s three-wicket haul went in vain as Australia beat India by four wickets.

Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav confirmed that ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah is fit and ready to play in the second T20.

"Everyone is fit and ready to play, including Jasprit Bumrah," said Suryakumar in the pre-match press conference on Thursday (September 22).

Speaking about India’s aggressive batting approach, the 32-year-old batter, who scored a 25-ball 46 in the first match, said, "Everyone is playing their role; they know their responsibility and what they want to do in the different situations."

"Openers know their role very well. Then it comes to the middle order on how we set up the game, and it was finished really well by the finishers. Everything went according to the plan, and we will try to do the same thing again and again in the future."

Following the first game, captain Rohit Sharma stated that the batters put in a great effort, but the bowlers were unable to execute the plans.

"I don't think we bowled well. 200 is a good score to defend, and we didn't take our chances in the field. It was a great effort from our batters, but bowlers were not quite there. There are things we need to look at, but it was a great game for us to understand what went wrong. We know this is a high-scoring ground. You can't relax even if you get 200. We took wickets to an extent, but they played really well. They played some extra-ordinary shots," he said.

Rohit further added, "If I was in that changing room, I would expect to chase that total. You can back yourself to defend 60 runs in the final 4 overs. We were not able to take that extra wicket. That was the turning point, if we would have taken another wicket, things would have been different. You can't score 200 everyday, you need to bat well. Hardik batted really well to get us there. We need to look at our bowling before the next game."
