Fire broke out in the sugar mill of Mohiuddinpur, Meerut, chief engineer died, 6 badly injured

Lucknow, Nov 26, (Fast Mail News):-- On Saturday (November 26, 2022), the news of a fierce fire has come to light in Mohiuddinpur Sugar Mill in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. Turbine burst is said to be the cause of the accident. The Chief Engineer, who was burnt in the fire, jumped from the roof to save his life. The chief engineer died on the way to the hospital. At the same time, six other employees are also said to be scorched.

 

According to information, Chief Engineer Narendra Kushwaha jumped down from the third floor of the mill building to escape the fire and was seriously injured. While being taken to Modinagar hospital, Kushwaha died on the way.

 

Meerut District Magistrate Deepak Meena (Meerut DM Deepak Meena) told that there was a fire in the turbine of the mill. An engineer has died in the accident. A team is coming from Karnal, which will check whether the mill can be started or not. If the mill is not operational, the sugarcane of the farmers will be transferred to another mill.

 

 

 

 Seven vehicles of the fire brigade reached the spot on the information of the fire, have brought the fire under control. The fire continued to be difficult to control, as the drums kept exploding intermittently in the chemical godown inside the mill, but the fire brigade's rescue operation continued. At the same time, CM Yogi has expressed grief over the death of the Chief Engineer. The Chief Minister has instructed Additional Chief Secretary Chini to visit the spot and investigate the cause of the fire.

 

According to the chief manager of the sugar mill, Shripal Singh, suddenly a running turbine tripped, leading to the fire. According to fire officer RK Singh, the fire brigade was informed about the fire in the mill at 3.15 am. Fire brigade vehicles controlled the fire after a lot of effort.

 

At present, the cause of the fire is said to be turbine explosion. The rest of the real reason will be known only after the investigation. Top officers went to the spot and inquired about the incident. Apart from SP, CO, administrative officers were engaged in rescue work. On the other hand, the District Magistrate said that after the investigation it would be known whether the mill would be operational or not.
