Former MP caught assaulting police personnel on camera in TN

 Chennai, June 29: Tamil Nadu again became a talk point, when a former MP was caught on camera assaulting a police personnel. Former Member of Parliament K. Arjunan was registered by a camera when he assaulted a police person on duty at a toll plaza near Karuppor in Salem on Salem - Bengaluru National Highway.

 

While the video went viral, police officer was also seen giving a slap to the former MP. K. Arjunan was with Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam earlier and is now with AIADMK. The former MP was going back home in Alagapuram in Salem from his farm house when this incident happened. Arjunan was trying to cross the toll gate and that is when police persons intercepted his car and had asked him to produce his indentity card.

 

 

 MP on being asked to show his identity card had picked up quarrel with the police persons. He pushed them and kicked them. Police official also slapped Arjunan.

 

A few people nearby also jumped into action and pacified both. Former MP got into car and went away. Salem police have registered a case against Arjunan under Section 294 (b) and 353 of IPC.
