Ghulam Nabi Azad launches new Democratic Azad Party

 SRINAGAR:Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has announced his new party. He named his party as 'Democratic Azad Party'. He announced the name of the party at a press conference in Jammu on Monday.

He had resigned from the Congress party on 26 August 2022.

Ghulam Nabi Azad announcing his party said that the ideology of the party will be like his name and all secular people can join it. He has already clarified the agenda of the party. This includes restoring full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, continuing the struggle to secure land and jobs rights for the local people.

During the launch of the new party, Ghulam Nabi Azad said, "Democracy is for Democratic that it will be completely independent which I mentioned would be my own thinking. Will not be influenced by any party or leader and will remain independent”.

 

 Regarding his new party, Ghulam Nabi said that about 1,500 names were sent to us in Urdu, Sanskrit. Hindustani is a mixture of Hindi and Urdu. We wanted the name to be democratic, peaceful and independent, so this name of the party was decided.

 Ghulam Nabi Azad also unveiled the flag of his new 'Loktantrak Azad Party'. During this he said, “It is said that the color of mustard indicates creativity and unity in diversity, white indicates peace and blue color indicates freedom, open space, imagination and limits from the depths of the sea to the heights of the sky".

Ghulam Nabi Azad, during his visit to Jammu, had discussions with supporters for the new party and brainstormed about the name of the party in Delhi. He had told that the ideology of the new party will be like his name and only secular people can join it. During the interaction with the media, Azad said that our politics will not be based on caste or religion. We will respect all religions and political parties.
