Gandhinagar, Nov 28, (Fast Mail News):-- Former state minister Jai Narayan Vyas has joined the Congress. Jay Narayan Vyas, 75, resigned from the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on November 5. He remained in BJP for almost 32 years. Jai Narayan Vyas and his son Sameer Vyas joined the Congress in the presence of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge in Ahmedabad. Ashok Gehlot and other Gujarat Congress leaders were also present there.

When Jai Narayan Vyas had confirmed leaving the BJP on November 5, he had said that he had alternatives to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Congress (Congress). Then Gujarat (Gujarat) BJP (BJP) President CR Patil (C.R Patil) had said that Vyas might have left BJP being angry for not getting the ticket. He had said that Jai Narayan Vyas remained in BJP for 32 years. Even after losing the elections twice in ten years, the party had given him the ticket.
