Horticultural products preserving scheme launched

  Imphal, July 06 : Chief Minister N Biren Singh tweeted that a new scheme for buying and preserving horticultural  products with a corpus fund of Rs 3 crore to help the farmers, is being started by the State Government. In this Scheme 100 MT pineapples were brought from Jiribam and kept in Nilkhuthi cold storage.

 

 The scheme will benefit farmers a lot as they can keep their horticultural products in warehouses for a long period of time and sell products according to demand in the market. The government’s focus is to increase income of farmers and save products from being destroyed.
