Suryakumar Yadav, who picked up the Player of the Match for his belligerent knock of 76 off 44 in the third T20I against West Indies, felt elated about his match-winning knock.
“Really happy with the way things went. Was important for someone to bat 15-17 overs after Rohit went back inside. We saw yesterday what happened in the second innings. Was important for someone to bat deep and win the game, that's what I've focussed on. Just backed myself and enjoyed it,” said Suryakumar Yadav after being named the Player of the Match.
Hardik Pandya praises new-look Team India
Hardik Pandya, who became the first Indian to score 500 runs and pick 50 wickets in the T20I format, spoke highly about Team India after their triumph in the third T20I against the West Indies.
"You gain confidence when you see players performing with a new approach, the way with which pressure is being put on opposition bowlers. They might be thinking that even if new-look India are 10-3, they will be looking to score 190 rather than play out the 20 overs. Because of that attitude, this team is looking more and more dangerous."
