Instructions to 18 districts of Odisha to be vigilant in view of possible storm

Bhubaneswar, May 5, (Fast Mail News):-- In view of the possible storm in Odisha under the influence of the cyclonic circulation formed in the Andaman Sea, the state government has asked the district magistrates of 18 districts to take special vigil and keep necessary preparations.


The special relief commissioner of the state has written a letter to the district magistrates of these districts asking them to be alert. The districts where district magistrates have been asked to remain alert include Ganjam, Gajapati, Puri, Khordha, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Baleshwar, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Mayurbhanj, Kendujhar, Dhenkanal, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada and Kandhamal districts. Huh.




In the letter, it has been asked to set up a 24-hour necessary operation office and control room. People living in low-lying areas have been asked to be prepared to move them to safer places. Similarly, the Block Development Officers and Tehsildars have been instructed to take stock of the situation of all storm shelters.


According to the Meteorological Center located at Bhubaneswar, the cyclonic circulation in Andaman Sea will turn into a low pressure area by 6 May. After this it is likely to take the form of a storm. What will be the direction of this possible storm, it is not clear yet, but despite this, the state government has already started preparations to counter it.
