Irate over their son's alcohol addiction, family kills history sheeter

 Chennai, July 28 : Family members of a minor had killed a history sheeter in S. Puliyankulam on Sunday as they felt the history sheeter was responsible for their minor son turning into an addict for alcohol.


History sheeter who met an unpleasant fate was identified as A. Pambayan alias Thavamani who belongs to Ambedkar Colony in Thiruppancheti in Thirupuvanam.


Police said Pambayan had lot of cases against him in Silaiman, Virudhunagar rural and Thirupuvanam police station limits.



 The 17 year old son of a 38 year old man became a liquor addict after he became a friend of Pambayan. The boy always used to remain drowsy in the house owing to the liquor consumption.


Women in the family were angry over the boy's condition and fought with Pambayan. Though the issue was taken to the notice of the police it did not yield any result.


Recently when the history sheeter visited the house of the minor boy under the influence of alcohol, father of boy and his brother and his brother's son teamed together and hacked Pambayan to death.


Police arrested all the three offenders and have registered a case under Sections 302, 294 (b) and 506 (ii) of the IPC and investigation is on.
