J&K: Terrorists fired indiscriminately at Quick Reaction Team of Indian Army in Aban Shah Chowk

 SRINAGAR: In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, terrorists fired indiscriminately at Quick Reaction Team (QRT) of Indian Army in Aban Shah Chowk, HMT Khushipora area in the outskirts of Srinagar city this afternoon.

 

Defence Spokesperson Col Rajesh Kalia said that being a crowded area, the troops exercised restraint to avoid any civilian causalities & collateral damage.

 

In the terrorist attack, two soldiers were critically injured & were evacuated to the nearest medical facility but both of them succumbed to their grievous injuries and attained martyrdom.

 

Meanwhile, the area has been cordoned off by the security forces and search operations have been initiated to nab the assailants. Details are awaited.
