Karan Johar accused of stealing story of 'JugJug Jeeyo'
Ranchi, 15 June (FMNews) - The commercial suit petition filed under the Copyright Act was heard in the commercial court of Ranchi Civil Court against producer-director Karan Johar for stealing the story of the film Yug Yug Jio. After hearing the matter, the court has issued notice to Karan Johar and directed him to present his case before June 18. If no response is given, the film can be banned. The next hearing of the case will be on June 18.
The matter was heard in the court of Special Commerce Court Judge MC Jha of Ranchi Civil Court. During the hearing of the case, advocate Saurabh Arun told the court that Karan Johar, the director of the Hindi film, has made the film Jug Jug Jio by stealing the story of Vishal Singh of Ranchi. When the trailer of the film was released on 22 May, he came to know that it was his story. It has been stolen.
Vishal Singh had sent this story to him earlier but he returned it and now secretly made a film on the same story. After hearing the arguments, the court has issued notice to Karan Johar and asked him to present his reply. Appellant's advocate sought a stay on the film. On this, the court assured that if Karan Johar does not appear in person or through his lawyer and respond by June 18, then the film will be banned.
Vishal Singh says that he had earlier sent his story named Bannirani to Karan Johar. Karan Johar had returned after reading his story and script. About this story he said that it is not of his use. Vishal says that he felt that his story did not get a place but after watching the trailer of Karan Johar's new film when it was released, it came to know that it was his own story. After that he filed a petition in Ranchi Civil Court.
