Kieron Pollard becomes the second batsman in the world to score 11,000 runs in T20 cricket

 Port of Spain, 1 September (FASTMAIL.). West Indies' explosive batsman Kieron Pollard has achieved a historic feat in T20 cricket on Tuesday. Pollard has become the second batsman in the world to score 11,000 runs in T20 cricket.

Pollard achieved this feat while playing for the Trincomalee Knight Riders against the St. Lucia Kings in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). Pollard scored 41 runs in this match. The Knight Riders won the match by 27 runs and reached the second position in the CPL points table.

Pollard is second only to West Indies' Chris Gayle in the all-time list of highest run scorers. Gayle has scored 14,108 runs in T20. Pakistan's Shoaib Malik is third in the list while Australia's David Warner is fourth.

Pollard has also taken 297 wickets in T20 cricket with over 11,000 runs, making him one of the greatest T20 all-rounders ever.
