Lucknow : Three-storied building collapses, 3 dead, 30-40 people feared trapped

LUCKNOW: At least three people died and 40 others are expected to be trapped under debris after a three-storied building in Wazir Hassan area of Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, has collapsed.

After the accident, police and fire brigade teams have reached the spot. Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak has also reached the spot.

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said that three people have died after a residential building collapsed on Wazir Hassanganj Road in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Police are on the spot and rescue operations are on. Pathak who reached the spot said, “The building collapsed suddenly. 3 dead bodies have been recovered and sent to hospital. NDRF, fire tenders are on the spot, rescue operations are on.”

According to an official statement, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of the accident and directed to send SDRF and NDRF teams to the spot.

The Chief Minister has instructed the officials of the district administration to immediately take the injured to the hospital for proper treatment. He also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured. Also, District Magistrate and senior police officers, SDRF and NDRF teams have been instructed to go to the spot and carry out relief work. Also instructions have been given to many hospitals.
