Madhya Pradesh: 6-year-old child trapped in 400 feet deep pit of borewell in MPs Betul

 BHOPAL: On Tuesday evening, a 6-year-old child fell into an open pit of a borewell while playing in village Mandvi under Aathner development block in Betul district of Madhya Pradesh. In a 400 feet deep borewell, this child is trapped 50 feet deep in the pit. Menwike,relief and rescue team has started rescue to save the childaccording to reports.

Tanmay, a six-year-old boy of Sunil Sahu, a local resident of village Mandvi, was playing in the field at around 5 pm on Tuesday evening. He fell into the pit of an almost open borewell.



 According to preliminary information, this borewell is 400 feet deep, in which the child is trapped at a depth of 50 feet. Police and administration teams from Betul and Aathner have left for the spot. Tehsildar has also left for the spot. Collector Amanbir Singh Bains and Superintendent of Police Simala Prasad have left for the spot.

It has been told that this borewell was dug three days back. According to the villagers, the child's voice is being heard outside the borewell. Eighthner police station in-charge Ajay Soni told that Tanmay is trapped in the borewell at a depth of about 50 to 55 feet. Bujdozer and Poklen machines are being called on the spot.
