MP: BJP's Uma Bharti camped in temple in front of liquor shop demanding amendments in Liquor Policy

BHOPAL: BJP's fire brand leader and former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Uma Bharti has once again opened the front on liquor ban in the state. She has sat on a three-day dharna at the Durga temple in Ayodhya Nagar, Bhopal on Saturday late evening. She says that the new liquor policy is to be announced on January 31. If I sit here, everyone will remember who said what. I will sit here and listen to the state government's liquor policy.

In fact, in front of the temple in Ayodhya Nagar, Bhopal, there is a liquor shop and a big yard for which she has already protested, but the contractor of the liquor shop had brought a stay from the court. Because of this, the government had to stop the action midway. Uma Bharti had reached the temple on Saturday evening. Here she offered prayers and attacked the BJP organisation as well as the government.

She said,”I will stay here for three days and Madhya Pradesh government's liquor policy will also be announced on January 31, I will sit here and listen to it. I thought this is the best place it is very proven place. The temple of Hanuman ji is more than 50 years old and the temple of Durga ji is more than 20 years old. Right in front, there is a huge liquor bar violating all the norms, which is also violating today's liquor policy”

Talking to media , Uma Bharti said that till some time ago when we were in opposition, we openly opposed illegal mining and liquor policy. After coming to power, suddenly we have forgotten those things. Now we have to remember those things. I am sure that if the controlled liquor distribution system is implemented at my behest, then the record of 2003 will be repeated in Madhya Pradesh.
