Nitin Gadkari says,'I will not put up posters, I will not drink tea, I will win by a margin of 5 lakhs in 2024 Lok Sabha elections'
The results of Himachal Pradesh (Himachal Pradesh) and Gujarat (Gujarat) assembly elections have been revealed. While the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won a record victory in Gujarat, the party had to face defeat in Himachal Pradesh. After the election results, senior BJP leader Nitin Gadkari said that we will neither put up posters nor spend tea and water in the next elections, yet people will vote for us.
On the stage of Agenda Aaj Tak, Union Minister Gadkari said that I am also a politician, contesting the Lok Sabha elections. Now I have come with 3.5 lakh votes, next time I will come with 5 lakh votes. He said that this is not my ego, I will do this in return for work. The BJP leader further said, “The public is the owner, I am the trustee. There should be work for the country. I am not a hermit. First I look after my home, my family and then work for the society and the country.
Nitin Gadkari further said, “I have spoken to the people, I will not put up posters, I will not put up banners, I will not drink tea, I will not get breakfast, if you want to vote, then give me.. I don't want to get votes by showing any arrogance. I have worked, on that I will get votes. Hindus and Muslims will all vote."
On the other hand, Nitin Gadkari said that when we are in power, we do the politics of development, giving the reason for BJP's landslide victory in Gujarat. We have created records everywhere in good roads, water, electricity, transport, communication, agriculture, medical health, education. The people of Gujarat got to see development, because of this the people of Gujarat are bringing us to power there for 27 consecutive years. This is the reason why the people of Gujarat supported us under the leadership of PM Modi.
On the other hand, on the defeat in the Himachal Pradesh assembly elections, the Union Minister said that I think the difference between our votes and Congress's votes was very less in the defeat of Himachal Pradesh. I would only say that luck did not favor us. Had we got 1-2 percent more votes, we would have come to power.
