No sign of four missing persons

 Mysuru,  Aug 10:With four days passed since five persons of a family went missing in Talacauvery in Kodagu district, the search operation had been stepped down by rescue teams amidst incessant rains.

Karnataka Co-operation Minister Somanna and Kodagu-Mysuru MP Pratap Simha are personally supervising the search operation being carried out by NDRF, SDRF, police and fire fighting personnel near the spot of missing. Two earth moving equipment had been deployed iat the spot to move the red soil.

 

 Meanwhile, two daughters of Mr Narayana Charya, one of the missing persons, came from Australia. They broke down after seeing the strewn pooja materials used by their father and also plenty of spiritual books. They met Mr Somanna and Mr Simha on the status of search operation. They explained that the search was being carried out whenever the rain halted for sometime. The minister was optimistic about rescuing all four persons alive at the earliest.

Meanwhile, the water level at the KRS dam was near to the brim and around 70,000 cusecs of water being let off outside. The water level at the Kabini Dam is also near to the brim and around 30,000 cusecs of water is being released. Movement of vehicles on Mysuru-Ooty National Highway has become normal after two days of stoppage due to submergence of highway near Nanjangud town.
