North Korea executes two boys for watching South Korean film
PYONGYANG:Dictatorship has reached its peak in North Korea after two boys have been shot there for watching a South Korean film.
Two years ago in December 2020, the government of North Korea enacted a law declaring it a heinous crime to watch any kind of film released from South Korea or consume material related to it. After two years, the first blow of this law has fallen on two minor boys. Both of them were shot after watching a South Korean film. The two boys who were shot dead are said to be around 16 years of age.
Actually, this matter started in October this year. In October, these two boys met at a school in the Ryanggang province of North Korea. This school shares its border with China. In this school, he watched Korean and American dramas.
The boys were shot by the firing squad in front of the public on an airfield in Hyesan as their crime of watching and distributing K-drama and American movies was 'evil'
A few months ago, Kim Jong-un had his uncle, Jang Song-thaek, executed for crimes against the government. He was also labelled as a traitor.
It was earlier reported that North Korea wants the parents to apparently give ‘patriotic’ names such as ‘Bomb’, ‘Gun’ and ‘Satellite’ to their children and not give them names that are considered “too soft".
