Odisha 12th Exam Cancelled Due To COVID-19

 Bhubaneswar, June 04: Keeping in view the condition of COVID-19  situation in the state odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has announced the cancellation of 12th class examinations in the state.

 CM Patnaik has said that keeping in view the safety of students, teachers and parents, the 12th examination of the Higher Secondary Education Council has been cancelled. He said that life is firstt, everything else is later. Only when life is safe will there be endless possibilities and society and civilization will be able to move forward.

He said that children are the future of our country. In such cases, protection of children's health is most important. If the examination was conducted then students, teachers and parents would face many problems. In such a situation, the state government has taken this decision in the interest of all.

Patnaik also lauded the morale and patience of the students and their family members for handling such a sensitive situation.

He said that the efficiency of the students of 12th class will be evaluated within the stipulated time frame as per the criteria prescribed by the Council of Secondary Education as per the advice of experts.

In this assessment process, if the students are not satisfied in any way, they can take the exam later. The examination dates will be decided by the council after reviewing the situation.
