Over 200 killed, many missing in Nepal floods and landslides

 KATHMANDU:The death toll from floods and landslides triggered by heavy torrential rain in nepal rises to over 200 and many are still missing, with rescue efforts ongoing, police said. 

The disaster has hit multiple regions in various parts of nepal,including Kathmandu Valley.

 Koshi and Bagmati province recorded highest fatalities,according to officials.

 

 Landslides in Dhadhing district's Jhyaple Khola buried four passenger vehicles, killing 35 people.

 Over 3,600 people have been rescued, but damaged infrastructure, including 16 bridges and over 300 destroyed homes, hampers recovery efforts.

 Authorities are battling challenging conditions to continue search and rescue operations.
