Police DG reviews security arrangements for winter assembly session

Police DG Sunil Bansal  reviewed the security arrangements made by the Commissionerate Police for the winter assembly session which starts from tomorrow. He was accompanied by Police Commissioner, Bhubaneswar DCP, Traffic DCP and senior officers.

Assembly winter session will start from tomorrow. It will run till 31st December,according to reports. The Commissionerate Police has adopted elaborate arrangements for the security arrangements of the winter session.

The assembly will have a three-tier security cover for the winter session of the assembly.The striking force, bomb disposal squad, dog squad, fire brigade etc. will keep a close watch on all aspects,officials sais.CCTV cameras havealso  been installed starting from Vidhansabha, Lower PMG, Rabindra Mandap Street and adjacent roads.

 

 

According to police, 5 temporary police control rooms have been set up at 5 places include Vidhansabha Gate, Rabindramandap Gate, Lower PMG etc. to further tighten security.

More than 100 officers, including 5 additional DCPs, 1100 DSP wheeled officers, 10100 IICs, will be in charge under the leadership of DCP Prathiksha Singh. DCP Mr. Singh said, for the current assembly session, the assembly will be on alert for the armed security forces. There will be police on the assembly roof also. There are two checkposts at the entrance.
