Raipur: Women producing vegetables by joining Bari development
Raipur / Jashpurnagar , 10 June (FMNews) -Through Gauthan in Jashpur district of Chhattisgarh, women of self-help groups are being linked to various types of livelihood oriented schemes to make them financially empowered so that they can become self-reliant and can provide financial help to their family.
In this episode, women of self-help group, friends of Balajhapar Gauthan of the district, taking advantage of the development of the garden, are collectively producing green vegetables in Gauthan and selling them at reasonable prices in the markets. Due to which they are making good profit.
Anita, a member of the group told that she produces gourd, bitter gourd and other seasonal vegetables including Luffa on one acre of Gauthan land. The group has earned an income of about 20 thousand. He said that the production of vegetables has been good in Bari.
The demand for fresh vegetables is also high in the local markets and their vegetables are easily sold. The women of the group said that they will produce more vegetables keeping in view the demand of vegetables in the markets. So that their group can get more benefits financially. He said that they were also provided training through the administration for vegetable production. Which they have got good benefit.
