RRR makes history at 'Golden Globe 2023', wins award for song 'Naatu Naatu'

NEW DELHI: South Cinema's film RRR has created history at 'Golden Globe 2023'. The film won the best song award for the Telugu song 'Natu Natu'. The film RRR' was released in theaters in March last year and has earned more than Rs 1200 crore at the global box office.

The film 'RRR' was nominated in two categories in the Golden Globe 2023 awards, one of which is 'Best Film - Non-English' and the other is 'Best Original Song-Film'. The special thing is that the film 'RRR' is the first Indian film in more than two decades to be nominated in this award. Earlier in the 'Foreign Language' category, the films 'Salam Bombay!' (1988) and 'Monsoon Wedding' (2001). Both these films were directed by Meera Nair. Both these films are completely different from 'RRR'.

Directed by Rajamouli, 'RRR' is based on nationalism and brotherhood. It stars famous actors Ram Charan and Jr. NTR in the lead roles. Alluri Sitaram Raju and Komaram Bheem played the roles of these two real-life Indian revolutionaries in the film. This film is based on the fictional story of the pre-independence period.

In the 'Best Non-English Film' category, 'RRR' is up against Korean romantic film 'Decision to Leave', German anti-war film 'All Quiet on the Western Front', Argentina's 'Argentina 1985' and French-Dutch It happened from 'Close'.
