Scientist advises govt to use UV devices To kill Covid virus

Hyderabad June 27 : BM Birla Science Planetarium director Dr B.G. Siddharth on Saturday, advised to use low frequency ultraviolet rays to kill the Covid virus which has created havoc in the country and globally.

Dr Siddharth said, “We have argued at length that low frequency ultraviolet rays can kill the Covid virus as has been proved experimentally subsequently”.

Furthermore, he said that a Boston based company was manufacturing devices which emitted ultraviolet rays which are otherwise harmless to human beings. So this type of equipment can be placed in enclosed spaces, for example theatres or aircraft. This way the Covid virus could be destroyed without causing harm to the people there.
