Speakers extend full support two Washery Plant at Talcher

 TALCHER:All the speakers at the public hearing meeting of the expansion project of K R Enterprising supported the upcoming project with some demands for employment,plantation and health services. K R Enterprising which is having 2.4 million tone per annum  coal crushing and screening plant at Remuan village is going to add another 2.4 MTPA Washery unit in that plant.For that the required public hearing meeting was held where scores of local villagers and environmentalist attended and spoke.As per law public hearing is must to obtain environmental clearance for any project.

Angul ADM Sarat Chandra Mohapatra presided over the meeting and Regional officer of State Pollution Control Board Ramesh Ekka moderated the meeting proceedings. There were 25 speakers from the village and environmentalists gave their views on the addition of new plant.

 

 Speaking on the occasion plant officials Dilip Pal and Rameswar Behera gave detailed projections of the new plant and its impacts on the environment. They said there will be no negative impact on the environment as the company adopts best environmental protection measures in the plant. The plant authorities said we will give green cover and will not allow any sort of pollution in the new plant. The speakers on the other hand gave a whole-hearted support to the upcoming plant and demanded preservation of environment,employment,lightning,good traffic and provision of health facilities to the affected.

 Among the prominent speakers, the district environmental committee president Ramachandra Routray,Karunakar Khandual,advocated Bauribandhu Bej among others spoke on the occasion.Finally,the RO announced that all the stakeholders expressed their full support with no one opposed to the upcoming Washery unit.
