Three dead, six sick due to poisonous liquor in Bihar's Vaishali
Patna, Aug 28, (Fast Mail News):-- Despite the prohibition of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Bihar, the process of deaths is not stopping. The latest case is of Veerpur village of Jughanpur police station in Vaishali district, where three people have died, while six others are ill. Everyone drank alcohol late on Saturday night. Their family members are telling the cause of death to be poisoned liquor.
Among the dead are Rama Mahato, Ram Pravesh Mahato, Jungli Mahato. Relatives of the deceased have told that five people had consumed alcohol late last night in the village itself, after which everyone's health started deteriorating since morning. After their health deteriorated, all were admitted to a hospital located in Fatuha, Patna, where three people died during treatment.
The body of a deceased Junglee Mahto was cremated by the relatives but the bodies of two persons were brought to Hajipur Sadar Hospital by the police for post-mortem. The police has started investigating the whole matter. The police are yet to say anything in this matter. Police say the real reasons will be known after the post-mortem report comes. If death is caused by alcohol then legal action will be taken.
