UP: 10 killed in Pilibhit road accident
Pilibhit, 23 June (FMNews) - In Uttar Pradesh's district Pilibhit Gajraula police station area, a DCM overturned on the highway in the early hours of Thursday after hitting a tree killing 8 people on the spot while two others died on the way to hospital.Seven people were injured. Police admitted the injured to the hospital.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed deep grief over the loss of life in the vehicle accident. Wishing peace to the departed souls, he expressed condolences to the bereaved families. Along with this, the officials of the district administration have been instructed to provide proper treatment to the injured.
According to CO City, this accident occured at around 4 am in the Gajraula police station area. After the driver got a nap, the DCM collided with the tree and overturned. A total of 17 people were aboard the DCM. Eight people died on the spot in the accident. While two people died in the hospital. 7 people are injured. On getting information about the accident, the police reached the spot and took the injured to the district hospital.
The deceased have been identified as Lakshmi (28), Sanjeev's wife Laxmi (28), their son Harsh (16), daughter Khushi (02), Krishnapal's wife Rachna (28), Sarla Devi (60), Sushant (14), Anand (03), a resident of Gola. Lalman (65), Shyamsundar (55) and driver Dilshad (35).
The injured are Shilam Shukla (35), Sanjeev Shukla (35), Praveen (19), Gola, Prashant (17), Krishnapal Shukla, Poonam Devi (42), Rishu alias Yash Trivedi (16). All these are being treated.
Here, after getting information about the incident, District Magistrate Pulkit Khare, Superintendent of Police Dinesh Kumar P. reached the district hospital and took care of the injured. The District Magistrate said that while coming back from Haridwar to Gola, this painful accident happened near Gajraula, in which eight people died on the spot. Two people have died in the hospital. Rather 07 people have been injured.
