UP: Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka meet the families of farmers run over by SUV in Lakhimpur

 Lakhimpur Khiri,FAST MAIL) - Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accompanied by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channy, MP Deependra Hooda and sister Priyanka Vadra meet the families of farmers run over by a vehicle in Lakhimpur violence late last evening.

 The entire delegation first  reached Choughra farm and met Lovepreet's family.After visiting here,Rahul went to the the journalist's house  who was killed in the violence left at  Raman Kashyap's house. Rahul Gandhi has assured further help to the victims. Security has been beefed up as the Congress delegation is in the district. Earlier, the Chief Ministers of both the states have announced to give Rs 50-50 lakh to the victims.

The state government has lifted the ban on representatives of political parties after the incident in Lakhimpur Khiri district on Wednesday. After permission from the Home Department, a delegation of five people can go to the district. After getting permission, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accompanied by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channy and sister Priyanka Vadra, got in the car and left for the district.

 

 

 Arriving at the Amausi airport on Wednesday afternoon with the chief ministers of the two states, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi sat on a dharna. He alleged that he wanted to go to Lakhimpur in his private vehicle, while the police administration wanted to take him in their vehicle.

Angered by this, Rahul sat on a dharna with his chief ministers. Meanwhile, Rahul said that the criminals who trampled the farmers with their vehicles are roaming openly and they are not being arrested. We are being prevented from going to Lakhimpur. Is this the permission of Uttar Pradesh government? Meanwhile, after Rahul Gandhi was stopped, the Congress workers started chanting slogans against the UP government. After a long time, the administration allowed Rahul to leave in a private vehicle.

On his way to Lakhimpur, Rahul Gandhi met his sister Priyanka Vadra. For a long time, the two kept meeting in the same guest house where Priyanka was kept. After this, the two ended their meeting and left for Lakhimpur with the Congress delegation.

Congress leader and former Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot and Kalki Peethadhishwar Acharya Pramod Krishnam, who were going to Lakhimpur Khiri, were detained by the police after entering Moradabad district. Regarding this whole matter, Acharya tweeted from Pramod's Twitter handle and said that it is a dictatorship and a hooligan of the government.
