UP: youth arrested for justifying Aftab accused of Shraddha's murder & pretended to be a Muslim
Lucknow, Nov 25, (Fast Mail News):-- The Uttar Pradesh Police on Friday arrested a man who pretended to be a Muslim and was supporting Aftab Poolawala. Aftab Poolawala who brutally murdered his live-in partner Shraddha Waqar and cut her body into 35 pieces.
Vikas Kumar, a resident of Sikandrabad in Bulandshahr district pretended to be Rashid Khan while talking to a reporter in Delhi on the sensational murder case. He justified Aftab's act saying that such things happen in anger and there could have been 36 pieces, not just 35. When asked if he could do the same, he said that people do this in anger and it is not a big deal.
Bulandshahr Senior Superintendent of Police Shlok Kumar said, "Vikas has a criminal record, cases of theft and possession of illegal weapons are registered against him in Bulandshahr and Noida."
After the arrest, he said that he did not know that there would be so much furore over it, otherwise he would not have done it.
Shraddha Waqar and Aftab Poonawala lived in a live-in relationship. A few days after shifting from Mumbai to Delhi, both of them had a fight, during which Aftab strangled Shraddha to death. After this, her dead body was cut into 35 pieces and kept in the fridge of the house for several days. Then these pieces were thrown in many areas of Delhi-NCR in 18 days.
The matter came to light after six months when Shraddha's father lodged a missing report. On Thursday, accused Aftab underwent a polygraph test in Delhi's forensic lab.
