Veteran actor Vikram Gokhale died in Pune hospital at the age of 77

Vikram Gokhale made a special place in the hearts of the audience with his acting in many brilliant Bollywood films like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Badmaash, Bhul Bhulaiyaa, De Danadan and Mission Mangal. Vikram Gokhale was known for his different style of acting on screen. On Wednesday, Vikram Gokhale was admitted to Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital in Pune in critical condition.

He worked in Marathi as well as Hindi films, including Amitabh Bachchan's Agneepath and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, starring Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. In recent years, he has appeared in films such as Mission Mangal, Hichki, Aiyaary, Bang Bang!, De Dana Dan and Bhool Bhulaiyaa. In a career spanning over 40 years, he also worked in several TV shows.

Vikram Gokhale made his film debut in 1971 with Amitabh Bachchan's Parwana. In 2010, he received the National Award for Best Actor for his work in the Marathi film Ishti. He also made his directorial debut with the Marathi film Aaghat. The actor was last seen in the Marathi film 'Godavari'. Earlier this year, he was seen in Nikamma alongside Shilpa Shetty and Abhimanyu Dassani.
