Victory Margin To AAP Is Highest In Delhi MCD Poll : Know Both Highest And Lowest Margins Of Various Party Candidates
NEW DELHI:The Aam Aadmi Party has got a majority in the Delhi Municipal Corporation elections. For the last 15 years, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi was occupied by the BJP, which has been snatched by the Aam Aadmi Party. Aam Aadmi Party has won 134 seats. BJP is on the second number, getting 104 seats while congress has been able to win only 9 seats. Independent candidates have won three seats.
In the 2022 MCD elections, the deposits of 10 BJP candidates were forfeited while 3 candidates of Aam Aadmi Party could not save their deposits. 188 candidates of Congress could not save their deposits.
Largest Margin of Victory
Aale Muhammad Iqbal of Aam Aadmi Party has won the election from Chandni Mahal Board of Matia Mahal Assembly by a margin of 17,134 votes.
Smallest Margin of Victory
Aam Aadmi Party's Ashu Thakur won the election from Chittaranjan Park ward of Greater Kailash by just 44 votes. On the other hand, if we talk about NOTA, then a total of 57,545 people used NOTA in the Delhi Municipal Corporation elections.
