Warner, Powell and Khaleel power Delhi to win

Mumbai, May 6, (Fast Mail News):-- Fiery knocks from David Warner and Rovman Powell powered Delhi Capitals to a 21-run win over Sunrisers Hyderabad in Match 50 of the IPL 2022 at the Brabourne stadium in Mumbai on Thursday (May 6).


After Sunrisers opted to field, Delhi Capitals lost Mandeep Singh (0) and Mitchell Marsh (10) early in the innings. Skipper Rishabh Pant, who followed next, made 26. Powell joined Warner in the middle with the score at 85/3 from nine overs.


The two batters’ aggressive knocks ended with both unbeaten at the end of the 20 overs, with Warner making 92 off 58 and Powell making a terrific quick-fire 67 off 35 to power Delhi to 207/3 from their 20 overs. The pair added an unbeaten 122-run partnership off just 66 balls.




 Defending the big score, Khaleel Ahmed (3-30) and Shardul Thakur (2-44) starred with the ball, helping Delhi Capitals win by 21 runs.


Sunrisers, who lost a flurry of wickets in the middle overs, were fueled by crucial knocks with the bat from Nicholas Pooran and Aiden Markram, who made 62 and 42 respectively.


Today’s match: Gujarat Titans take on Mumbai Indians at the Brabourne stadium in Mumbai.
