Woman lured for job, gangraped in Prayagraj, accused arrested
PRAYAGRAJ, December 15 : In a yet another hall of shame, a woman was gangraped by four men in a hotel under Jhunsi police of Prayagraj on Monday night. The woman, native of Jaunpur works in an orchestra in Prayagraj and was lured by the men who promised her a job in a music group. According to the complainant, accused Jitendra of Kaushambi took her to a hotel and called his three accomplice, who then took turns to rape her. The complainant claimed that the accused, before allegedly raping her, forced her to drink juice after which she became unconscious. The police on the complaint of the victim have registered a case for rape and one of the four accused has been arrested on Tuesday.
Replying to the queries by HS, police claimed that raids are being carried out and an accused have been nabbed. “The medical examination of the victim has been done and efforts are being made to arrest the remaining accused. A woman working in an orchestra was lured by accused to a hotel by flaunting offer to bag lucrative job in a music group. It is alleged that after this all the four men took turns to rape the young woman. Somehow escaping from the clutches of the accused, the victim went straight to Jhunsi police station, where cops have registered a case on the basis of the victim's complaint and arrested an accused. Raids are now been conducted in Kaushambi and Prayagraj in search of other accused,” he added.
