Women drug peddler nabbed with fake currency in Manipur
On Thursday, Imphal East Superintendent of Police IPS M Pradeep Singh informed that on Wednesday, based on reliable information, the search operation team was able to arrest a woman involved in the sale of prohibited drugs in a house located in Urup Kangtha, Imphal East. He said that under his supervision, a combined team consisting of three teams of Special Team headed by SI NG Deveshwar Singh SIT Lenin Sharma, Head Constable M Shanta Singh, Head Constable C Sonamani Singh, two teams of women constables of CDO/IE and some of YADA Khergao. Imphal Additional Superintendent of Police K Hirojit Singh conducted the operation along with the volunteer.
Superintendent of Police said that two others have been arrested by the police based on the confession of Taslima. He said, first, Mohammed Bocha (33), son of the late Mohammed Ali, a resident of Kiamgei Makha Leikai, was also arrested with a soap case and 144 suspected SP capsules from his house. After that, another youth named Umar (24), son of Mohammad Jalal, a resident of Keirao, was arrested by the police along with a laptop and a printer from his shop located in Litan Makhong, Keirao at 6:50 am.
The seized items along with the three accused, including a woman, have been handed over to Irilbung police station for necessary legal action against them, said Imphal East Superintendent of Police M Pradeep Singh.
